Run Free

Infamous or Famous you've heard of Asking Alexandria. Personally I love them. Yesterday The official Sumerian Record YouTube channel uploaded Asking Alexandria's new song 'Run Free'. The first divide created by 'AA' has begun to knit together. The feedback and comments found on YouTube  Twitter and Facebook seem to be all for this song. With compliments to Danny's voice and gratitude that the song isn't 90% breakdowns. It looks like 'AA' may have matured with their music with actually thinking about structure and techniques. Although there is a crowd of what appears to be largely original fans saying they've sold out and Disneyfied them selves writing radio self lyrics purely to increase their pay roll.

Follow the link to give the song a listen then comment with your opinion below :)

The HomeTown Bro-Down Tour II 18/11/12

Sunday let's be honest it's the night when you turn to you're non hungover and tired friends from a weekend of not partying and decide to go to a rock gig. But still these boys managed to get a respectable turn out. It was the last night for the brethren tour for Pavilions, Violet, Arms of Atlas and I Divide. With Arms of Atlas kicking it off they hit the crowd with their insane musical skill. From the start you could tell these guys were talented, experienced and dedicated. I even saw them change from their respectable clothing to attire ripped to high heavens these guys are serious about giving you a good show. With Bass licks that could leave a mark on your face and Guitar shredding that could melt it. I really can't wait to see more of these boys!

Next we Had Violet the largest band with 7 members. If you've ever been to Cavern, Exeter then you know this is a tight squeeze. And yet these boys know how to optimise every unit of the band to give a sound that smaller bands can only dream of. Violet has had a change of Singer/Serenader' not long ago and now Jordan is the beautiful pipes of the band (Who also is a fan of Conor Maynard). I can't comment of the previous singer but this lad has the voice of an angel making girls ,non specific, swoon in the crowd. Crudely complimented by Charlie Bass's raw screams. This band are bringing all the finer things together to give you a complex compilation of rock. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D64r4H-w4Iw

Then to the stage where Pavilions two supporting I Divide vest. It's good to see bands clothing one another. I was told that this was Pavilions first tour taking that of board I can make no faults. Their stage performance wasn't as dynamic as the other veteran bands. But the public paid for the music to which they did not fail to deliver. Fresh with sing along lyrics they performed in their own way. I have no doubt with more tours and experiences under their belt they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Energetic and furious as always I Divide stormed the stage leading the crowd by example. Within seconds the anticipating crowd where spurred to their feet. These guys love what they do you can see their passion and intensity as they give it all they've got especially Guitarist (Henry Selley) who's always supporting an injury from the previous show/party. Singing along to catchy home town lyrics you could feel this band connects to their fans. Exeter had  the unveiling of I Divide's soon to be single 'Run away'. With a strong chorus, rebelling gang vocals and ample opportunity for crowd participation this song could be I Divides anthem which takes them to the next step. Ending with my personal favourite 'This Ship's Going Down' The Tour fulfilled it's named as the members of the other bands swarmed for a final party feel stage invasion to close.

Promotion on Laura Burling

Through this shoot I've had two really nice pieces put up promoting both the Laura and me If you'd like to read some more on the shoot and the Dresses click the links below.

The Hasselblad and Broncolor Road show 9/11/12

Completely last minuet. I'd planned to go my glasses fitted and go catch up when Charlotte the Director of Prime Model Agencey called me up 9 asking if I could come in and model at an Event today. Of course I was up for it. I asked what I should wear and bring all she said was something smart and pretty. So I worn my black Urban Outfitters which I absolutely love and managed to dodge the price tag by buying it in the sale <3 I arrived at the studio not knowing anyone in the lobby until Tony the Owner passed by and said I'd be needed up stairs. Still having no clue really I met the events make- up artist who got me ready then I finally saw Charlotte who explained that today was an event for a lighting and camera company to show off their equipment. They needed me to test it out on. Slightly out of my comfort Zone as I'd only ever had Mike Alsford as my photographer and at most 5 people in the room. Yet there as at least 20 different high profile photographers in at once. Lots of the photographers where quirky with their only flare which is only what could be expected. The anxiety dropped after lots of smiling and introductions. Turned out the people who where taking my photo that had had also photographed the likes of the Queens Mother, Will Young and Justin Bieber. Really over all it was amazing and spontaneous. It was a privilege to be with such expensive and top of the range equipment and to be given free photos and prints at the end.

Laura Burling 4/10/12

Laura Burling is an Independent dress designer who creates and designs for the British lady. On the day of the shoot I didn't really know what to expect I love wearing dresses but elegance it's really one of my describing factors. Meeting Laura was lovely great to work with as well she knew what she wanted which helps her get what she wants and lets me know what I need to be doing. With Mike Alsford as the Photographer I felt completely comfortable and had such a good time. there where 8 designs in total you can see them here http://www.lauraburling.co.uk/collections/frontpage  My favourite to model was the Ceri Little Black Dress because the outside set was the most interesting and it had more of a party feel. But the one that I'd consider buying if I ever had the money would be Lindsey Kate Navy Dress it fit like a glove and was just some comfortable also I did quite like feeling like a lady for the day.  I would of loved to have multiple hair and make - up changes but we just didn't have the time we redid make - up but the hair was always up.

Prime Induction 2/8/2012

I'm going to be back cataloguing other wise this is going to be empty for a long time. So, starting with my induction to Prime Model Agency.South West Based I sent off my application and heard back quickly and was in the studio for my free induction shoot within the week. I arrived with my own clothes and had their hair and beauty girl do me up. We tried to aim for 3 outfits which where different to each other. This was also my first time shooting with Mike Alsford the house photographer who's a joy to work with made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed.
